Puerto Escondido, Mexico

Hola! Puerto Escondido looks like an epic spot, and we welcome you to joins us for the month of October to work, surf, mastermind and enjoy this beautiful bit of Mexico. We found a great villa to share with 6 others - it has ocean and sunset views and the best local guide, our host Diego, who works remotely too and surfs 5-meter waves. :)

Ps. This video is made in Bali but let's create the same vibes! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URNwjXUWLr4

Work environment: Selina's Coworking space in Puerto Escondido looks absolutely wonderful and is a 12 minute walk away from our coliving villa. A month pass at Selina currently costs $67. Wifi speeds average around 20 mbps and it's the only place in town that has a reliable connection. The month pass at Selina guarantees a comfortable work environment. We can't wait to work from there. :) The villa has wifi access too for the basics and nearby cafes and lunch spots can proof sufficient to get calls and work done too, but we can't ensure their stability like any other place in town besides Selina.
Community values: This is a co-created trip, meaning that we're all here to create our own experiences. We'll have a family meeting in the first week to all agree on some common house rules. Every community member is encouraged to organize a little activity once, from skillshares to weekend hikes to beach cleanups. We at Coworksurf love hosting masterminds, group surfs and family meals. What are you excited about to organise? :)
The surf: The famous surf spot of Zicatela is a 3 minute walk from the villa. Zicatela can get wild, but there are waves for all levels around within a 15 minute drive with a $2 USD taxi. Yes, you can bring your board on the ride too. Don't have a board? No worries. We're partnering with Awayco - a modern worldwide surfboard rental company - for a good and affordable board for the month. In case you'd like surfing lessons we've got a link with a local instructor. The 2-hour lessons are $27 USD per person.
About the area: Puerto Escondido is a port town and resort on Mexico’s Pacific coast in the state of Oaxaca. It’s known for its many beaches and buzzing nightlife. The town’s central Principal Beach is lined with palm trees and thatch-roofed bars. Busy Zicatela Beach is renowned for its Mexican Pipeline surf break. Neighboring La Punta Beach has smaller waves. Carrizalillo Beach is set in a cove backed by steep cliffs.
Average monthly living costs (apart from accommodation): 600
